At Sealco, the safety of our team members, our clients and the public is always of the utmost importance in everything we do. With the current situation regarding COVID-19, Sealco is remaining vigilant in monitoring the day-to-day changes regarding the safety of all those affected. We are keeping track of cleaning protocols recommended by public health and government agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
We are actively engaged with our safety, service delivery and operations teams to ensure the appropriate information is shared and the needs of clients and team members are met.
Sealco will be expanding our services to include preventative disinfecting services and help our clients meet their disinfectant needs in critical spaces and common areas of their facilities. We are here to answer questions regarding the initial or recurring services we can offer and minimizing risk factors inside your facilities.
First and foremost, the best way to keep the inside of any critical room clean is by following the CDC recommendations. Facilities should limit the number of vendors in a room at one time and either invest in a stand-alone handwashing stations / or sanitizer bottle outside the data hall. Anyone entering the room must wash their hands, place disposable gloves on and wear a mask. Upon leaving the room, there should be a receptacle placed by the door with a lid to dispose of these items. Finally, visitors and vendors should wash or sanitize their hands again before leaving the area.
In addition to these procedures, Sealco will regularly:
- Disinfect all cabinet handles
- Disinfect all hand railings inside data halls
- Disinfect all mobile workstations and wall phones
- Vacuum and mop all flooring
- Wipe any contact points on cages, or containment doors
- Disinfect doors handles coming in and out of each room.
- Disinfect exterior surfaces cabinets
Facilities should limit the numbers of employees per CDC guidelines when possible. Invest in handwashing and / or sanitizers for when employees and others visitors enter the facility before moving about the building. Cleaning in these areas will consist of using electrostatic misters, alcohol wipes and a rotation of other EPA-recommended cleaners based on supplies at the time.
Areas to be sanitized include:
- Office chairs
- Light switches
- TV remotes
- Coffee making or other kitchen appliances
- Fridge handles and cabinet handles
- Soap and paper towel dispensers
- Tops of trash can lid
- Water coolers
- Security keypads
- Toilet seats, handles and stall doors
- All common areas will be vacuumed with high filtration vacuums
- All hard floor surfaces will be mopped with antibacterial floor cleaners
- Clean all exterior cabinets / file cabinets
Sealco WILL NOT be responsible for the following items:
- Removing trash
- Restocking items throughout the facility: Paper products, trash can liners, cleaning supplies, etc. (This will be the responsibility of your current janitorial company)
- Providing PPE for your location
- Cleaning areas outside of a sanitization scope as listed above unless authorized in advance
