Electrical/Critical Equipment Cleaning

Construction dust and debris, or normal dust and dirt accumulation over time, can contribute to arc flashing. Arc flashing damages equipment, causing business interruptions and downtime, and is a serious life safety issue. The proper and thorough cleaning of critical support equipment during and after construction, and on a regular maintenance basis, significantly reduces the potential of arc flashes and ensures equipment performance and longevity.

Generators

Top-to-bottom, cleaning every exposed surface and component, including the engine itself, panels, conduit, wiring, busbars, and switches. From the heavy covering of dust-covering that comes from with construction activity and time to that factory factory-new appearance.

PDUs & Switchgear

Inside and outside of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and Switchgear cabinets, including cleaning internal components such as transformers, windings, cabling, busbars, and terminal blocks. Back to how it came from the factory.

Substations

Control buildings, floor-to-ceiling, including main switchgear, control panels, cable trays, disconnects, circuit breakers, busbars, terminal blocks, and more.

Mechanical Rooms and Equipment

CRAC/CRAH units, mechanical galleries, custom built-up HVAC systems and rooms—all mechanical equipment and areas likewise need specialized cleaning attention. Sealco knows how to properly clean mechanical rooms and equipment so that they perform optimally and can be more easily serviced.
Sealco’s extensive experience in cleaning such critical support equipment, combined with our uniquely specialized approach, is why the world’s most recognized names in technology insist on having Sealco cleaning their major support equipment in their critical facilities. Of course, strict adherence to safety practices such as lockout/tagout and live-dead-live protocols always comes first.

Equipment Hoisting

Over time, deterioration of raised access floors can become a major concern for data center managers. If your raised access floor is showing signs of age, you need to address this issue before it becomes a personal liability or an uptime issue.

Fortunately, there is a solution that can help you avoid downtime and ensure the safety of your employees or contractors. Our live equipment hoisting is a proven solution that can remove your old, raised access floor and replace it with brand-new flooring – all without requiring equipment shutdown or causing downtime.

We can eliminate the risks associated with an aging access floor, such as rolling load issues, pinpoint load issues, delaminating tiles, under floor structure failure, floor height restrictions, and zinc whiskers. These problems increase the risk of equipment failure, which can lead to downtime, lost productivity, and lost revenue. With our hoisting solution, you can avoid these issues altogether.

Your other options are to move your site to a new location, build a new facility, or try to “shore up” problem areas—all costly and time-consuming. Our hoisting can help you extend the life of your current facility for many years. It is also a cost-effective solution that can save you money in the long run. With Sealco equipment hoisting, you can install a new flooring system without downtime or interruptions.

Installation Services

We understand that data centers often require containment solutions from a variety of vendors. That’s why we offer our expert containment installation services to clients who have their own products or need to use a combination of products from different sources. Our team of trained and experienced Sealco employees can travel to any location in the U.S. to provide fast and effective installation services for most any containment products made.

Our competitive rates ensure that you receive top-quality installation services without breaking the bank. With Sealco, you can trust that your containment installation needs are being handled by experienced professionals who provide exceptional service and support.

Disinfecting Services

We are committed to providing the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for our clients. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic risks have been greatly reduced, we understand that keeping your critical spaces and common areas disinfected is of utmost importance. Sealco is here to help you meet your disinfectant needs.

Our team of professionals is trained and fully equipped to follow the cleaning protocols recommended by public health and government agencies, including the CDC, WHO, and OSHA. Our safety and operations teams are constantly engaged with our clients and team members, ensuring we deliver the disinfecting results you need.

Our procedures for data halls includes limiting the number of vendors in the room at one time; providing handwashing stations or sanitizer bottles outside the data hall; and requiring anyone entering the room to wash their hands, wear a mask, and dispose of gloves in a designated receptacle upon leaving. We will also disinfect cabinet handles, hand railings, mobile workstations, wall phones, and other contact points.

In common areas, we follow CDC guidelines for limiting the number of employees and provide handwashing and sanitizing stations. Our cleaning services in these areas include using electrostatic misters, alcohol wipes, and EPA-recommended cleaners to sanitize keyboards, mouses, printers, office chairs, tabletops, light switches, and more.

Our services are designed to ensure the highest level of disinfection for your data center and common areas, safeguarding the health of your employees and reducing risk factors.

Zinc Whisker Remediation

Though more commonly seen in older data centers, one of the most insidious threats to the integrity of your hardware infrastructure can come from something as small as a microscopic metal filament: zinc whiskers.

Zinc whiskers are tiny, hair-like filaments that can grow from zinc plating on the surface of metal objects. These whiskers can cause all sorts of problems in data centers, from short circuits and system outages to catastrophic equipment failures and even fires. Zinc whiskers are often the result of a chemical reaction that occurs when zinc is used to coat metal objects, and they can be incredibly difficult to detect and remove.

Sealco is a pioneer in identifying and eliminating zinc whiskers in data centers and other high-tech facilities. We have the expertise, experience, and techniques to locate and remove these tiny filaments, ensuring that your hardware remains safe and reliable.
